ACRAnet, Inc. is a business to business enterprise that specializes in providing knowledge to our End User Clients to assist them in making more informed decisions. This is done through providing Consumer Reports which may contain: credit history, credit scores, criminal record information and other forms of data. ACRAnet, Inc. takes the privacy and security of personal information very seriously. Please take a moment to review our Privacy Policy below and contact us if you have any questions.
COLLECTION AND USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION:
Personal Information is data that can be used to uniquely identify an individual and may consist of such things as:
- Name
- Date of Birth
- Social Security Number
- Current and Former Address
- Phone Number
- Email Address
ACRAnet, an ACRAnet affiliated company, or it’s End User Clients may collect or use your personally identifiable information exclusively in conjunction with a business transaction. ACRAnet does not maintain a database of consumer information and therefore your personally identifiable information will only be used for that specific transaction.
INQUIRIES AND DISPUTES:
If you have had an ACRAnet inquiry on your credit file or would like to dispute any information contained within a Consumer Report produced by ACRAnet, please click here. You may be asked to provide personal information in order to properly identify the report in question.
DISCLOSURE TO THIRD PARTIES:
It may be necessary as permitted or required by law, such as inquiries by law enforcement or to comply with Federal laws such as the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACTA) for ACRAnet to disclose your personal information.
Additionally, in the event of a reorganization, merger, or sale we may transfer any and all personal information we collect to the relevant third party.
PROTECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION:
ACRAnet has internal policies and procedures in place to secure your personal information. This includes physical, technological and human security solutions. ACRAnet’s third-party technology providers are SOC 1 Type 1, PCI-DSS Level One or other similar industry standard compliant and must rectify annually to the standard. We cannot, however, be responsible for their privacy practices.
YOUR CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS:
California Civil Code Section 1798.83 entitles California customers to request information concerning whether a business has disclosed Personal Information to any third parties for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes. As stated in this Privacy Policy, ACRAnet will not sell or share your Personal Information with non-ACRAnet companies for their direct marketing purposes without your consent. ACRAnet may update its Privacy Policy from time to time. When we change the policy in a material way, a notice will be posted on our website along with the updated Privacy Policy.
GLOSSARY:
End User Clients: A client of ACRAnet that materially uses the information provided by ACRAnet in the process of making a decision.
Consumer Report: As defined in the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA):
The term “consumer report” means any written, oral or other communication of any information by a consumer reporting agency bearing on a consumer’s credit worthiness, credit standing, credit capacity, character, general reputation, personal characteristics, or mode of living which is used or expected to be used in whole or in part for the purpose of serving as a factor in establishing the consumer’s eligibility for –
(A) credit or insurance to be used primarily for personal, family, or household purposes;
(B) employment purposes; or
(C) any other purpose authorized under Section 604 [§ 1681b of this Title].
ACRAnet Affiliated Company: An affiliated company can be defined as an entity, separate from ACRAnet that ACRAnet must engage to produce the Consumer Report. Examples of these may include: Data repositories such as Experian, TransUnion, Equifax or public record databases; the Federal Government for IRS Tax Information, Social Security Number Verification and some criminal information; or our technology providers that allow for ACRAnet to communicate and produce the reports for our End User Clients.
